2024 Scholarship Opportunity for Nursing Students

The Black Nurses Association of Central Illinois, Incorporated and Chi Beta Beta Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated, have collaborated to assist Black/African American nursing student by announcing the 2nd Annual Black Nurses Joint Scholarship.
This nursing scholarship is open to students currently enrolled in nursing programs from central Illinois colleges of nursing. Students need to identify as Black or African American, have at least one year left of school, and be in a program of nursing, ADN, BSN, MS, DNP, or PhD. Students need to submit applications by 11:59pm Friday, October 18, 2024.
The application requires an unofficial/official transcript, if first year student, please provide a letter of enrollment from the school of nursing. An essay is required addressing your pursuit or continuing your education in the field of nursing, explaining how you hope to use your nursing degree to help your community and how you plan to add value to your community or organization through membership in a professional nursing organization. Two letters of recommendation are required, one from applicant's school of nursing, and one letter from a community leader or nurse, and a curriculum vitae or resume.
